Crispy Chilli Oil Noodles - Recipe
These crispy tangly and garlicky noodles will leave your taste buds wanting for more. This recipe is a quick 20-minute dinner recipe that is packed with flavour and texture. The combination of the crispy golden brown garlic slices immersed in the most amazing chilli oil and honey oil will your tastebuds a kick you never asked for. The recipe consists of two parts, first is the chilli oil and the second is the noodles and the egg.
Ingredient:
Green onions - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 9-10 medium sized cloves
Red pepper flakes - 1 tbsp
Soy sauce - 1/2 cup
Brown sugar - 2 tbsp
Honey - 1 tbsp
Roasted peanuts - 200 gms
Boiled whole wheat or Regular spaghetti - 300 gms or half a pack
Olive oil - 1/2 cup
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
For the green onions just use the green part and thinly finely chop it and set aside the white part for another recipe or save it for later. Now in a separate bowl add the green onions, Red pepper flakes, Brown sugar, Soy sauce and honey.
In a small deep pan add 1/2 cup of olive oil and let it heat on medium heat and add the thinly sliced garlic. Let the garlic turn into a beautiful crisp golden brown colour and as soon as this happens pour all the oil into the chilli mixture that we prepared earlier.
Let the oil mixture sit for at least 5 minutes in order to get the perfect flavour.
Once the boiled noodles are ready add your noodles to the same wok in which u prepared your oil and top off with the chilli oil mixture. Now at this point yo can add the coconut milk to the spaghetti. The coconut milk adds a unique flavour, texture and aroma to these noodles. It gives off a very creamy flavour to these spicy tangy noodles. These noodles themselves are a mixture of multiple decadent flavours.
Now Stir fry the noodles on medium heat for 2-3 minutes while on the other side you prepare your eggs the sunny side up.
Sunny side Up Eggs:
The perfect sunny side up eggs require a good quality stainless steel , preferably a non stick pan. Glaze the pan with one tablespoon of olive oil and saute 1 tsp of crushed garlic and as soon as the garlic starts to give off an aroma crack open the eggs and cover with a lid. Take off the lid in 1-2 minutes and your eggs are ready!!
Top off the noodles with the most perfect crispy sunny-side-up eggs and sprinkle some green onions, sesame seeds and roasted peanuts.
ENJOY HOT and preferably with an icy cold glass of soda for the ultimate experience.
