CLASSIC SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIE TRIFLE!!

This trifle is an extremely decadent combination of creamy, crunchy and the perfect level of caramel flavour. Each layer has its own personality from having the perfect creamy whipped dulce de leech which is a Mexican favourite to having the most creamy and fluffy whipped layer of the salted caramel mousse. This trifle will make anyone who eats it ask for more again and again. It's a super hit in my household and friends. Trust me it's a SHOW STOPPERRRR!!!


Ingredients

Salted Caramel Sauce

Butter -1 tsp 

Granulated sugar -1 cup 

Cream  -1 pack or 100 ml 

Salt - 1/4 tsp 

Melt a tsp of butter and add 1 cup of granulated sugar and let it caramelise as soon as it turns into a nice light brown colour. Make sure NOT to burn it. Add 1 pack of nestle full-fat cream and whisk until combined. Add 1/4 tsp of salt and let it cool completely.

Salted Caramel Mousse 

Whipping cream -250 ml 

Cream cheese -200 gms 

Salted caramel sauce -1 cup 

Start off by whipping  2 packs of any available whipping cream until stiff peaks are formed and then add 200 grams of cream cheese and the prepared salted caramel sauce. Mix it on high speed until combined and stiff peaks are formed. 



Whipped Chocolate Ganache Frosting - Tara Teaspoon


Whipped Chocolate Ganache

Semi-sweet dark chocolate -1 cup 

Cream -1 cup 

Chop 1 cup of semi-sweet dark chocolate and place it in a separate bowl. Heat 1 cup of full-fat cream on medium flame and pour it on top of the chocolate. Let it sit for about 2 minutes and then slowly start mixing it with a spatula. Let the ganache cool in the freezer for about 20 minutes and then whip it on high speed for about 10 minutes or until stiff peaks are formed.

Layering 

The layering of this trifle is my favourite part. The rust colour of the dulce de leche combined with the creamy beige colour of the salted caramel mousse complements each other in multiple ways. It's the perfect combination of creamy and crunchy and it blends perfectly in your mouth. 

Layer 1: crushed candy biscuit + brownies 

Layer 2: mouse 

Layer 3: mouse + ganache + brownies 

Layer 4 : mouse + ganache + crushed candy biscuits 


Chill overnight and ENJOY!!!
