FLAMIN' Mac & Cheese

You simply just can’t go wrong with Mac & Cheese but if you’re on the hunt for an enchanting bowl of cheesiness and spice, then our recipe will make your taste buds bounce around as if they’re inside a pinball machine.

One bite of this luscious Mac & Cheese and your meals will never taste the same again. Let’s get to cooking so that you can enjoy those Spoonfuls of Mac & Cheese.

 

INGREDIENTS:

- The Macaroni:

250 Grams or 1 Cup of Macaroni.

A Tablespoon of Salt.

 

- For The Garnishing:

80 Grams of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

30 Grams of finely diced Scallions. (Optional)

Finely diced Parsley.


- For The Sauce:

Salt 1 Tablespoon or (To your liking).

Black Pepper Half Tablespoon or (To your liking).

One Tablespoon of Dried Oregano.

Half Cup of diced Shitake Mushrooms or (The ones available).

Approx. One-third Cup or 100 Grams of All Purpose Flour.  

60 Grams of Butter.

Approx. Two Cups of Milk.

Two Cups of grated Cheddar Cheese.

Two Cups of grated Mozzarella Cheese.

 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

- The Macaroni:

Pour Water into a large pot and add salt to it. Bring the water up to boiling temperature and pour in the macaroni. Cook the macaroni in the boiling water for approximately 2 minutes less than what the packet suggests. Drain all the water from the macaroni once they're ready and pour the macaroni in a bowl, allowing them to rest.  

- Sautéing The Mushrooms:

Add oil to a pre heated non-stick iron pan and Sauté the mushrooms until they’re cooked through or golden brown. Transfer the mushrooms into a plate or bowl once ready. 

- For The Sauce:

Get a pan over a medium flame/heat on the stove and put the butter in the pan. Let the butter melt and add in the flour, stirring it around in the pan. After about one minute of stirring, add a little over a cup of the milk and continue stirring until the sauce is free of lumps. (Gradually keep adding the remaining milk to get the sauce lump free). Add in all of your seasonings (Salt, Black Pepper & Oregano) and let the sauce thicken over a low flame/heat until it has a creamy texture and consistency. Once the sauce has thickened, add in your sautéed mushrooms and take the pan off the flame. Once the pan is removed from the stove, add in those freshly grated cheeses.


ASSEMBLING & BAKING:  

- Get an oven-safe pot and pour in the boiled macaroni and prepared sauce, stirring them together so that the sauce is distributed evenly.

- Pre-heat your oven at Approx. 350 Degree Fahrenheit or 180 Degree Celsius.

- Cover your pot with a piece of foil and transfer it into the oven for about ten minutes or until the cheese has crisped up or turned light golden brown.

- Remove the pot once it has baked long enough and dress the Mac & Cheese with diced Parsley and finally add your Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to the top & Enjoy !!!
